Privacy

I value your privacy and am therefore transparent about what data I collect about you. All data I collect is stored in an online database which is well secured. Because I collect and process all data within Belgium, it is protected according to European privacy standards.

 

What data do I collect from you and why?

Statistics

When you surf to my website, I store certain data about you in statistics (Google Analytics). That data includes the browser type, IP address, the operating system you use and the domain name of the website that sent you to my website. I use these statistics to analyze the browsing habits of my visitors and based on that to optimize my website for my users. The statistics are completely anonymous, so you have nothing to fear.

Contact information

When you fill out the contact form on my website, I keep track of the information you enter. I securely store your first name, last name, phone number, email address, message, IP address and the time of sending. This is necessary to communicate with you in the correct way.

When you download an e-book or file, I store - if you give permission - your email address and name. I need this information to send you the downloads. When you request a download, I also kindly ask you if I may send you our newsletter. Rest assured, I do not want to email anyone unsolicited.

When you subscribe to my newsletter, I store your first name and email address. I need this information to be able to send you the newsletter. Your email address is stored securely with Mailchimp. Mailchimp secures your data and is part of a certified EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and therefore respects your privacy.

If you are a client of mine, I also store your contact and billing information. This data is needed to ensure a smooth collaboration.

 

Who do I share your data with?

Only I use your data. I therefore do NOT share your data with third parties.

 

What is the retention period for your data?

I keep your personal data for 2 years after you unsubscribe from my newsletter and/or for 2 years after sending a contact form.

 

What rights do you have?

As a user, you also have a number of rights that relate to your personal data. If you wish to invoke any of those rights, it is best to contact Digitong directly by sending an email to info@digitong.be I will do my best to process all requests within 30 business days.

 

Right of access and rectification

You have the right to inspect all personal data I collect from you. You can have any incorrect or incomplete data changed or deleted.

 

Right to be forgotten

A visitor always has the right to have their data removed from my databases.

 

Right to file a complaint

If you believe that I have unlawfully processed your data, you have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commission.

 

Right to withdraw consent

Any user or visitor whose personal data is collected has the right to oppose the processing of that data.

 

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to (temporarily) stop the processing of your personal data.

 

Modifiability

I have the right to change this privacy statement if necessary.

 

Cookies

This website makes use of cookies. These are small files with data that this website sends to your browser and stores on your hard drive. This data is used to identify returning visitors and to better attune the website to them. The visitor will in this way be able to log in more quickly and possibly see adjusted content. This way you do not have to fill in your personal data every time you visit this website.
